British Coffee Association Data Interpretation Workshop:

Distilling the Facts About Coffee and Health

The British Coffee Association is holding a data interpretation breakfast workshop at this year's BDA Annual Conference in Aviemore on Thursday 24 June between 8am and 9:30am.

Dr Sarah Schenker (BDA member and Registered Dietitian) and Dr John Stanley, (Lecturer in Biochemistry at Trinity College, Oxford) will be presenting a workshop that will consider the best ways of examining the scientific evidence and contextualise the statistics for the benefit of your patients.

The data interpretation workshop will focus on the most recent scientific studies on coffee and health including:

  • Coffee and fluid balance
  • Coffee and cardiovascular health
  • Coffee and cancer
  • Coffee and cognitive decline
  • Coffee and type 2 diabetes

A full review of the latest evidence will be provided whilst highlighting just what does constitute a strong scientific study. Coffee is one of the most heavily researched products in the world today, so come and find out how to filter the good from the bad, what the evidence actually shows and how to put the information into practice with your patients.
